Here it is! The gorgeous ring that my crazy talented and creative fiancé gave me. It was a collaborative project between him and the designer of Sylva & Cie, Sylva Yepremian (who is my most favorite jewelry designer!).

The center stone is an Ethiopian opal that my fiancé and I found together on a trip to Kenya to see family last Christmas. I fell in love with the peachy coloring of the stone and that it’s from Africa. As many of you know, I was born in Kenya and my heart and soul will always be there. Sylva set reclaimed vintage diamonds, some dating back as far as the 17th century around the stone. I love that they are old diamonds with tons of history. I’ll always wonder who wore these diamonds first….
