PARIS – Isabel Marant Fall 2012 Runway Show. As my flight bumped through partly rainy skies, onto the tarmac at Charles de Gaulle, I became anxious to see what the result of the show-down with my favorite designer, Isabel Marant, was going to be.  And as the cooler than cool Parisian “IT” designer, once made us bet on the swaggering skinny girl, in ruffles and tassels, today she urges us to gamble on her locked & loaded cowgirl, hot-footing her way into the local Western Wear Store.  But rest assured, this is not the same store as your grandma’s in the Old West.  This store features studded and yoked cowgirl shirts, made fresh and edgy with ultra-suede cropped jeans. Laced and embroidered pieces add a Spanish matador drama. And her punk, strapped, ankle, cowboy boots are already at the top of my “Must Have” list for off the charts two-stepping this Fall.
