Knowing that tweed would once again be a fashion highlight this fall, I seized the opportunity, while in Ireland, to visit the Tweed Factory in Donegal.  What started out as a simple trip, turned into an all day adventure: getting lost down rain soaked country lanes, halted by sheep crossings, and the necessary “Pint Pit-Stops” (my boyfriend had to twist my arm for those).  In the end, the old-world, clanking machinery of the factory, heightened my love for tweed, and seemed to cement it as a timeless classic.
