Gardening Sunday

Yesterday was the perfect day to get some projects going in the garden. We have been doing a lot of landscaping lately and now it’s time for finishing touches.

We have a wall that needs some greenery, so decided to take all the terracotta pots we’ve had lying around and paint them white. Some of them we masked off to make terracotta bands and stripes. We’re planting them with succulents we bought and can’t wait to see the results!

Plum likes to help.

Raisin likes to watch.

I’ll show you the finished project later in the week! ( Because we didn’t get it all done yet) Happy Monday!

Wedding Inspo – The Boys and Girls

My mind is all over the place right now when it comes to thinking about the details of the wedding. There is still much to be done, but it never gets old looking for inspiration for flower girls and ring bearers. And, although I have a dress, I have to share this insanely beautiful gown.

Weekend Wardrobe

It’s been a hectic week traveling back and forth to LA for work, but I had a lovely weekend catching up with our LA friends at a dinner party on Saturday and a baby shower on Sunday. I packed light with my go-to Rag and Bone print top, wearing it one night with navy Rag and Bone skinny jeans and the other night with Isabel Marant cream harem pants. My cobalt Manolos came in very handy too!

Manolo Blahnik cobalt suede pump.

Rag and Bone blouse and Dior Gris Trianon nail color.

Isabel Marant ivory harem pant.

Dior Gris Trianon nail color.

Loeffler Randall Rider bag in cobalt. Available at DIANI. Shop here or call 1 877 342 6474.

If the color wasn’t enough to win me over, it has straps on the back that you can attach to your bike! So Euro. It comes in other colors too…..my collection is about to grow.

Spring Shoe Obsession

I just got back from the chilly weather in NY, London and Paris and have been craving spring and sun and sand. I walked into my shoe boutique and fell hard for this Loeffler Randall sandal. The heel and ankle strap is so on trend, the white and silver complement each other perfectly. I cannot wait to start wearing them with my skinnies. Yay, I do believe spring is here!

Ps. They’re under $300 too!

Heddie stacked heel. Available at DIANI.

If The Shoe Fits

When I was in New York for Fashion Week, I snuck in a little time looking for shoes for my wedding. Just like my wedding dress, these were the first shoes I tried on. After considering all other options, I realized pretty quickly that I wasn’t going to find a more perfect shoe for my wedding day. And they’re comfortable, which is a bonus! Maybe I will be dancing till the sun comes up, after all.

Photo Diary – Paris

It’s been busy busy in Paris for Fashion Week, but I always make time to appreciate the beauty of this incredibly romantic city. Today was the first day the sun came out and it couldn’t have been more perfect, especially as my sister was with me! Here are some highlights.

Parisians make floral boutiques jewels boxes, even when space is limited.

Some stunning florals on the ceiling of a room in the Bonpoint children’s boutique.

Artwork on the walls in the entry at Merci.

Attache cases are making a comeback! I should have kept mine from the 80’s.

Beautiful pottery in Merci.

Probably the most photographed car in Paris.

I’m calling this, “Squiggles Architecture”.

The magnificent Louvre.

For those of you that say I don’t take enough selflies, here you go!

The serenity of the Seine.

Have you locked your love in Paris yet?

A good way to get around the city.

What a lovely change from the cold, wet weather of last week!

The Jardin de Tuileries.

Me and my big sis.

Paul saves the day when you have a croissant craving.

Meet Gail, My Uber Talented Childhood Friend

I just spent a wonderful couple of days in London with my friend, Gail (who will be a bridesmaid at my wedding). I”ve known Gail for over 27 years and we’ve shared many interests growing up, including art. We spent many evenings after school, creating masterpieces in the Art Department. Whilst I went on to study Fashion, Gail moved to Edinburgh to study Textiles and Color. After graduating she worked for companies such as, The Conran Shop, Heals and Jamie Oliver, developing designs, packaging and branding. She now co-owns her own design firm, BrysonLoxley and works for many prestigious clients. She also has had her own print exhibitions, showcasing her limited edition screen print art (I have one of her pieces in my home and it’s treasured). She’s an amazing talent and I’m proud to call her my friend. Check out her website to learn more here. Here are some pictures of Gail’s new design studio and exhibition space in London.
