DIANI Living Newlywed Gift Guide

‘Tis the season for engagement parties, bridal showers and wedding soirées. Just last month Jeffrey and I celebrated our 5th anniversary, which had us reminiscing on that special day and the gifts we received from our guests. Some of the most memorable ones are unique pieces that we admire everyday in our home.

When choosing a gift for the newlyweds in your life,  go off-registry and choose a one-of-a-kind piece that adds a personal touch. I have curated a go-to Newlywed Gift Guide filled with some of my favorite home pieces that are both beautiful and functional, from linen napkins and ceramic dishware to cozy alpaca throws and plush Turkish bath towels.

Whether the happy couple hosts weekly dinner parties or the occasional dinner for two, our Linen Napkins are suitable for any occasion. Crafted from 100% natural linen, they get softer with each use and wash. Add a personalized touch with monogrammed initials. Contact customercare@dianiliving.com for more details.

Skip the fine china, the hand-crafted Chamberlin Platter adds an elegant, one-of-a-kind touch to any table setting. Crafted in an organic shape with a neutral glaze and lace detailing, this ornate platter pairs well with our handmade Dessert Bowl.

Give the gift of comfort with the luxurious Sully Throw Blanket. Made traditionally in Belgium, this throw is crafted from alpaca wool and linen for a warm and seriously soft addition to their first home. Perfect for cozying up by the fire or folded at the foot of the bed, this blanket is something they will use year-round.

Who doesn’t love to receive a candle? Our Large Double Wick Candle is the perfect heart-felt gift for any event surrounding a wedding. Hand-poured and crafted in small batches, the Large Double Wick Candle is made from natural soy wax,  pure essences and fine fragrances. It’s also triple scented for long-lasting fragrance. To tie your gift together, include one of our decorative matchboxes!

The happy couple will fall in love with a set of our Organic Turkish Towels. Coveted for their high absorbency, plush texture and quick drying feature, these towels are a DIANI Living favorite. They are intricately woven using organic Turkish cotton and are available individually or as a set.

You can shop all of my favorite newlywed gifts in-store or online at dianiliving.com. If you have any questions or need gift giving advice, our customer care team would be happy to help! Call 877.342.6474 or email customercare@dianiliving.com.

Caroline Diani in C Weddings

One of my favorite magazines to flip through during the planning stages of our wedding was C Weddings, so it was a total honor when they featured our wedding in their latest spring issue. It brings back all the magic that happened that day and always puts a smile on my face. Thank you C Weddings for sharing our special day.

A favorite picture from our wedding. I’ll share more of my favorites in the coming weeks.

A Weekend in Photos

Since our wedding (more of that to share soon), we have been sleeping a lot and spending some quality time outdoors. For those of you who planned a wedding know, the months leading up to the big day take up a lot of your time and require serious stamina. A day at the beach, paddle boarding followed by a shellfish home cooked meal with a close friend, sharing stories from our wedding day, were just what the doctor ordered.

La Perla Bathing Suit (similar). A Bridal Shower gift that’s a firm favorite.

A relaxing paddle around the harbor was the perfect way to end a day on the beach.

The Santa Barbara Pier and a pelican friend.

Clams and Mussels from the Fish Market.

Any excuse to break out the wedding gifts. A Juliska cheese plate and vintage cheese identifiers.

Thanks to our good friend, Adam, we had the most delicious seafood feast. I wish you could smell the broth!

Bon Appetite!

I Do!

I know, I know, I’m like a pen pal who never writes. I’m hoping that a home remodel and planning a wedding, all while running a business are good enough excuses and that all is not lost on my little blog. I’ve been intending to write more often, if that does anything for my case?

Well, to bring you up to speed, our home and garden are looking insanely gorgeous, thanks to a team of super talented local craftsmen. I’ll share pictures with you soon, so you can see what we’ve been up to.

And in other news, we’re getting married on Saturday!!!! As I type that, a butterfly flutters around in my belly and my hands get clammy. OMG!! It’s here! Friends and family have arrived, the garden has enough lights to light up the Christmas tree at Rockefeller Center and there are swaths of white fabric as far as the eye can see. OMG! It’s finally here!

If I don’t get to write much in the coming days, I’ll try to at least post some pics of what’s happening. And, thanks for hanging in there with me while I took care of my crazy life. You beautiful fashionistas are the best. xoxo

My Bridal Shower look – Chloe head-to-toe.

Wedding invitation designed by my awesome bridesmaid, Gail of Gail Bryson.

Vintage table linens found in Newcastle by my awesome bridesmaid, Gail.

Our traditional Wedding Cake made by Sweet Lady Jane has been marinating in rum for the past month. We snuck a peek one day.

Vintage English china hand picked and collected all over Newcastle at flea markets. Thanks to, yup, you guessed it, my awesome bridesmaid, Gail (and her sisters).

More of the vintage china we’ll be using at the wedding. It all arrived from England in one piece!

Our ring designer, Sylva Yepremian of SN Queens designed these beauties and she asked if they could be my, “something borrowed”. Ummm, YES!!! Vintage diamonds and pearls.

The color palette for the bridesmaids and groomsmen.

My beautiful DIANI family gave me a gift card to La Perla! Oooh La La…..Puuurrrr….

My wedding dress by the crazy talented, Monique Lhuillier. It’s the first dress I tried on and I’ve been dreaming about it ever since.

Wedding Fever

As my wedding is only a few weeks away and my fiancé was in NYC over the weekend for his Bachelor Party, I had time to get more inspiration for the big day. Here are some beautiful details that caught my eye. And, Congrats to Keira Knightly who tied the knot on Saturday wearing a repurposed Rodarte dress and Chanel jacket.

Wedding Inspo – The Boys and Girls

My mind is all over the place right now when it comes to thinking about the details of the wedding. There is still much to be done, but it never gets old looking for inspiration for flower girls and ring bearers. And, although I have a dress, I have to share this insanely beautiful gown.

If The Shoe Fits

When I was in New York for Fashion Week, I snuck in a little time looking for shoes for my wedding. Just like my wedding dress, these were the first shoes I tried on. After considering all other options, I realized pretty quickly that I wasn’t going to find a more perfect shoe for my wedding day. And they’re comfortable, which is a bonus! Maybe I will be dancing till the sun comes up, after all.

Wedding Belles

Ok, so how do you pick a dress when there are so many beautiful ones out there? It seems impossible! I’m told it’s like meeting THE guy. You just know he’s the one and then everyone else pales in comparison. My search still continues….Tell me which is your favorite dress…

A Sunstone Winery Wedding

After touching down in LA from Paris Fashion Week, I drove up to Santa Ynez to be at the wedding of DIANI‘s beautiful Web and Media Manager, Whitney. The celebration was held at the breathtaking vineyard estate of Sunstone Winery. All the details of the day were perfection, from the mason glasses for the groom’s signature sangria, to the abundance of white hydrangea and lavender. Rosemary stems served as shrimp skewers, Crushcakes’s infamous bite size cupcakes made the perfect wedding cake, Pearl Jam’s “Hearts and Thoughts” for the bride and groom’s first dance, Valentino studded flat sandals to complement the elegant and dreamy lace and sequin embellished Manuel Mota gown. The newlyweds are now off to Italy for some more wine tasting and candlelit dining in the vineyards of Tuscany. Sigh.
